Willed is an Australian online will service that also sells probate help and funerals. This page records what Willed's own website said when we read it on 30 October 2026, with no rating and no opinion on whether it's better than the alternatives. We haven't bought a Willed will and we have no affiliate or commercial arrangement with Willed. Prices change, so check the live page before you pay.
This is general information, not legal advice. Will and power of attorney rules differ by state and territory. For advice on your situation, speak to a lawyer or your state's Public Trustee. AustralianWillKit.com.au is an independent guide operated by Dominet BV. We aren't a law firm, we don't sell wills or kits, and we don't draft wills. No link on this site is an affiliate link right now. We may earn a commission from will providers in future when a reader buys through a link on this site. If that happens we'll label those links and explain it in our affiliate disclosure, and it won't change the facts we publish. Rules, fees and prices were checked on official and provider websites on 30 October 2026 and can change. Read our general information notice.

How the Willed process works
From Willed's pages, the steps are:
- Complete the online questions about your family, executors, guardians for children and gifts. Willed's home page says this takes under twenty minutes.
- Pay the one-off price.
- Download the will, print it and sign it.
- Ask Willed Law to check the will if you want, which Willed says costs nothing extra.
- Have the will witnessed under your state's rules.
Willed's pricing page says its online will is "Legally valid in every Australian state and territory". That's Willed's claim about its documents. Whether your own will is valid also depends on how you sign it. Every state needs two witnesses present at the same time, and the beneficiary rules differ. Our witness guide has the rule for each state with a link to the Act.
The lawyer check
The home page says Willed Law can check your will on request, at no extra cost. Note the words "on request". From the pages we read, the check isn't described as automatic, so if you want it, ask for it before you sign.
Willed's footer disclaimer says Willed is a technology platform that lets you create your own estate planning documents using its forms and information, that it isn't a law firm, and that if you're unsure whether its documents suit your circumstances you should get legal advice from a law firm, such as Willed Law Pty Ltd. The footer says probate services and legal consultations on the site are provided by Willed Law Pty Ltd.
NSW Trustee and Guardian's wills page says assets held by companies or in trusts generally need specific advice, and that assets overseas call for advice from someone qualified in that country's inheritance laws. If that's you, ask whether an online will is enough.
Couples wills
Willed's pricing page lists two individual wills prepared together for $238 and says this saves $80 compared with two single wills. It says the two wills can have mirror or independent provisions. Each partner still has a separate will, and each will has to be signed and witnessed on its own. Because Willed describes them as two individual wills, plan for two separate signings, which can happen one after the other with the same two witnesses.
Power of attorney
The pricing page lists an enduring power of attorney for finances and property at $99, or $89 when added to a will, and calls it a state-specific document, ready to sign, that can be edited and re-printed within twelve months. Willed's home page describes power of attorney more broadly as financial, medical or personal. We couldn't tell from the pages which documents are available in each state, so check that on Willed's site for your state.
Enduring power of attorney witness rules are stricter than will rules. In NSW, for example, the witness must be a solicitor, barrister, Local Court registrar or another listed person. Our power of attorney guide has each state's rule.
Updates and edits
Willed's pricing page says each will includes unlimited edits for twelve months, then optional updates at $15 a year with the first year free and the option to opt out at any time. An edit online doesn't change your will until you print, sign and witness the new version. Our updating a will guide covers new wills and codicils.
Probate and funerals
Willed also sells services for after a death. On 30 October 2026 the pricing page listed:
- probate and letters of administration through Willed Law at a fixed fee quoted up front, paid once the grant comes through
- direct cremation from $2,299, with state prices listed on the page
- funeral services in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia
- prepaid funerals
The pages we read didn't say that making a will with Willed requires using any of these services.
What we couldn't confirm
Some things matter when you choose a will service but weren't on the pages we read, so we haven't stated them:
- a refund policy for the online will
- whether the Digital Vault holds anything other than digital copies, since the signed paper original is the will
- which states each power of attorney document covers
- how long a Willed Law check takes once you request it
If any of these matter to you, ask Willed directly before you buy, and keep a copy of the answer. We'll add them here only once Willed publishes them on its own site.
Cheaper or free alternatives to compare
Before paying for any online will, it's worth checking what your state offers. On 30 October 2026, official pages said:
- Queensland's Public Trustee prepares wills for free
- Tasmania's Public Trustee charges fixed fees, with free wills for concession card holders
- the ACT Public Trustee and Guardian doesn't prepare wills in house and lists online providers, including Willed
- charity-funded services such as EveryWill and Gathered Here say their wills are free
Our cost guide has the exact figures, and the will kits compared page sets out kits, online services and Public Trustees side by side.
